I'm an easy-going, friendly, intellectually curious, and fairly spontaneous person. I believe that we are all here by random chance, by the luck of having every single one of the trillions of variables outside of our control that could have moved against us to take this life from us instead all cooperate to give us another day, and that we can honor that immeasurable privilege by giving our lives meaning, namely, by endeavoring to leave a net positive impact behind, which I define as increasing joy and peace of mind in others, and reducing suffering.

I have a diverse and ever-evolving set of interests and love to experience much of the world myself, but also to understand the full range of the human experience through others. For this reason, I love to take mini-retirements so I can slow travel around the world and more generally meet new people so I can learn about others' ways of life and alternate points of view. I'm always up for a good adventure and conversation.
