About Me
PHILOSOPHY
We like to live by the concepts of self-reliance and minimalist living as modes for coming into a deeper relationship with our surroundings and the people in them. Life is better with less complications.
Interests
Drew: Cooking, gardening, eating… Really just about anything to do with food. I’m good in the kitchen!
I really enjoy reading and writing poetry. Generally speaking, I seem to be reading at least two books of any given genre at any given time.
I like music! I’ve studied a lot about American Jazz, Old Time, Folk, and Rock, but I’ll listen to just about anything.
I love learning new things! My interests tend to vary according to what I’ve been reading lately.
Sierra: Lately I've been reading a lot about living minimally and consciously of my environmental impact, and I hope one day to build my own home. I've got a small back-yard garden filled with fresh greens and tomatoes. I also like to bike, sing, dance, and read.

Teach, Learn, Share
Drew: I am really good at making percussive sound effects. I am very handy, so I can fix a lot of things. I can teach you how to make your own journal! I used to play an mandolin. Other than the above, I know a lot of random facts about science, mechanics, physics, space, literature, cooking, plastics and textile manufacturing, the Internet, Buddhism, survivalism, woodworking, and health. Additionally, I seem to collect a lot of random knowledge and facts and I don’t usually remember where or how I learned it.
The two things I really want to learn right now are how to become a better educator, and how to fluently speak a new language or two!
Sierra: I have some years of experience singing alto and especially enjoy improvised singing with other people. I enjoy both teaching and learning music. I'm also good at scheduling and organizing, and I know my way around minimalist and environmental philosophies.
I would like to become fluent in Italian and Spanish, improve my cooking skills and learn how to make a few new dishes from other cultures.
