About Me

My fiancé Charlotte and I chose to travel and see the world for 9 months of this year, 2019. I was working for Northrop Grumman as an Aerospace Test Technician before I quit to travel the world playing Disc Golf professionally. My fiancé worked at the Mingei International Museum in San Diego before our travels. The pro Disc Golf tour so far has taken us to Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon, and Washington. We also decided to make a 6 week trip to Europe since we have the time, and as soon as we come back we head to the east coast of the US to finish our tour over 2 or 3 months. We've met so many incredible friends so far and hope this will be another way to meet many more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend that we met on our travels recommended Couchsurfing, describing to us how many amazing people they have met through the site, hosting and surfing. We're on the road now and unfortunately won't be able to host until November of this year at the earliest, but can't wait to have people come experience San Diego with us!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of Indie and down-tempo electronic/ambient. Any type of dance music as well, because I am fond of getting down. I love checking out any type of new music and I'm always in for live music. I love mind-bending movies with crazy twists that make you think. Charlotte has always been more of the reader, she recently finished the Harry Potter series as well as the Southern Reach Trilogy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Charlotte and I love to try new things and we finally went skydiving late last year. It was such a rush and I would recommend to anyone who has never been! I can't wait to get back up and we may even find a gorgeous spot to do it in Europe. We were just in Twin Falls, Idaho a couple of days ago and saw a group of base jumpers leap off of a giant steel bridge that spans the mile wide Snake River canyon. Hopefully I can get enough jumps in to eventually base jump!

Teach, Learn, Share

At each different destination we find ourselves in, Charlotte and I try to soak up as much of the culture as we can. We're not picky eaters and we're always up for a new experience or challenge. Couchsurfing sounds exciting because we can share traditions and cultural norms that we normally wouldn't get much exposure to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Charlotte and I are great cooks and love to cook for people. Especially gracious hosts that open their homes. We can make any array of meals, even vegetarian or vegan. Although we don't fit into either category, we are very open minded, and have made plenty of vegetarian/vegan meals for friends and ourselves. We love to cook healthy meals and try new things. We also have a lot of information on the various corners of the United States after this tour of ours. The US has a lot of varying topographical regions, all with a lot to offer. Having been to most of them now we can offer specific information that you can only get by experiencing them.
