About Me

CURRENT MISSION

make new friends, see the world, and try new things while showing people Americans aren't all jerks!

ABOUT ME

I'm 21 and im a student at college. I love to have fun with my friends, sports, music, making new friends, trying new things, and i'm just an overall fun person to be around. I belong to Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. I've always wanted to travel the world, but i've realized that the longer I wait the harder it is going to be for me. I'm a very optimistic, glass half full kind of person and see good in any situation or person. I'm looking forward to traveling and meeting new people and gaining new experiences through this community.

PHILOSOPHY

A close friend of mine who passed away in a car crash had this saying, "Y.O.L.O." or You Only Live Once... I like to try new things and conquer challenges. I live my life to gain new knowledge and help people out in any way I can. You get to give, and give to get.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I can host 1-2 people if they don't mind sleeping on a floor because I'm living at college... I also live about an hour and a half away from the city, so it's likely inconvenient to stay at my place if your goal is to spend most of your time in the city :/

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met a handful of different people, from young "chillers" to older "professionals" and so far I haven't had any bad experiences. Its amazing how no matter where different people come from, there's always at least one thing people can bond over! I look forward to many more amazing encounters!

Interests

I enjoy snowboarding, soccer, skydiving, tennis, running, biking, hiking, hanging out with friends, listening to music, trying different foods, partying, photography, and meeting new people and trying new things!

Books: Water for Elephants, The Kite Runner, Everything is illuminated

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few things come to mind: Spent a month teaching English in Nepal, Saw the sunrise over the himalayas, Travelled around India for a couple weeks with my best friends, spent a few days of pure relaxation in Sognefjörd in Norway, I founded my own fraternity, Went skydiving, Did a 150 mile bike ride in New York twice, Ran a half marathon in Massachusetts...

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about foreign cultures and languages and local foods! The things I can teach people are how to make some great American foods, and how to have a good time. I also know some pretty cool magic tricks :)
