Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I introduced CouchSurfing to my family and we've successfully hosted a number of people (see my mother's profile here: https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/travelingbugs/)

Of the countries I've surfed in, the amount with a name containing the word "land" (Iceland, Scotland, England, and the Netherlands) is double the amount without (France, Belgium).

Interests

I love exploring, (hitch)hiking, road trips, and, really, almost any other type of well-intentioned adventuring.

I'm also a big fan of technology, and think that it's our best shot at saving the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? ;) Hiking for half a month on the Appalachian Trail, with everything needed for survival carried on my back. It's not much compared to what others have accomplished, but it helped me realize that everything other than taking care of our basic physical needs is fluff, but also that fluff is where the fun is!
