About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finally realizing that life isn't about $, it's about experiences. Come share our city, I'll be heading to yours soon!
ABOUT ME
Always happy and open minded. I recently changed careers and began pursuing my dream of being a chef. It's a huge pay cut, but I'm finally happy. I used to think that going places and staying in hotels was what traveling was all about. Now I'm seeing that you can have experiences that are just as good, if not better for way less $. Life is made up of the people you surround yourself with, and I'm hoping to meet some great people and share some amazing experience in my city and cities all over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to argue. If you're speaking, you're not learning much. Silence is golden. I don't waste time thinking about money any more. Things will take care of themselves if you surround yourself with positive people and work hard. Help one another out, life is not a contest. He who dies with the most toys probably died too young from stressing out about money.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a mountain of friends stay on my couch, but never a total stranger. I'm excited to jump in to the mix and see what kind of people head my way.
Interests
I golf, go fishing, cook, scuba dive and play frisbee. I love to eat at interesting restaurants and I am a big wine drinker. My friends and I love being out on the water, or going to concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie rock (i.e. My Morning Jacket, Death Cab), Classic Rock (i.e. Allman Bros., Eric Clapton)
I don't watch a ton of movies.
Books: The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food, The World After Us, Little Bee, The GOD Delusion, Any Malcolm Gladwell Book. I prefer non-fiction.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm more than happy to pass on some culinary knowledge to any surfer. And I'm sure that there are plenty surfers out there who could teach me a thing or two. Bring me some ethnic recipes and I'll show you how to cook some local california cuisine.
And if you don't get seasick, we can go fishing. There's nothing like catching a fish in the morning and cooking it for dinner that night!
