About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live free and love true!

ABOUT ME

Though most of my friends refer to me as a hippie, I like to think of myself as Bohemian ecclectic. You know, dreadlocks, beard, but with the heir of class and sophistication. Other than that, I don´t know how to describe myself. I´m funloving, outgoing, and a bit of a wild child at times, but the other side of me is shy, introverted, and a bit reserved. In that sense, I guess I´m a bit of a paradox.

PHILOSOPHY

In a poem by T.S. Eliot called, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock," the narrator remorses his life as he states, "I have measured out my life with coffee spoons." I try to measure out my life by handfuls, buckets if you will. I try to live for the now, believing that life isn't going to deal me a good hand unless I go out looking for it.

Interests

Oh, interests are easy. I love to read, I collect music, I'm learning how to play the blues harmonica, I juggle, I tie-dye, I spend my summers backpacking through the Colorado Rockies, I travel, and best of all, I make balloon animals, though that was actually a job and less of a hobby. After all, it would be a little odd if I just sat around the house making little inflatable balloon figures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lists are easy.
Movies : Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Water
Easy Rider
American Beauty
Triplets of Bellville
Stay

Books: The Autograph Man by Zadie Smith
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut
Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia
Marquez
Paradise Lost by John Milton

Music: I'm not going to attempt a list. I've got hundreds upon hundreds of cd's, and picking a favorite is a bit like picking a favorite grain of sand on the beach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can´t say I know what is the most amazing, but one of the top five is getting my certification and licensure as a skydiver in beautiful Colorado. Unfortunately, my budget required me to choose between jumping out of airplanes and traveling. Easy choice.
