About Me

Hello,

I'm Dries, married and father of 4 children. After my studies, I worked 12 years in construction, which I currently put on hold. I did a cycling holiday in France, climbed the ventoux (bucket list), and thought about my further career. No midlife crisis, but thoughtful reorientation. In order to be able to make the necessary payments, I am currently working in the seasonal work as a gardener. There is also a lot of time for the family, the care for the children (between 8 and 16 years), the finish of the house and the maintenance of the garden. My active hobbies are: bicycle out, volleyball, a little football, swimming, etc. Very active so if it can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Get to know new people, who can help me taking care of the many cycling holidays I want to prepare in the future, with my oldest son or with my wife. Earlier, I went to France with my sister, and on my own to Ireland. This summer I go to Luxembourg with my youngest and my wife, while the older 3 children are on tent camp with the youth movement.
Scotland, Wales, Switzerland and Austria I find interesting for a cycling holiday. Someone a suggestion?

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite Music; Chris Rea, Enya, Evanescence (These are the cd's I buy). Other Music I like, I hear everyday on the radio. Movies I like, need to be epic, hystorical, ... good feeling, ... . Books/Writers: Rafael Ábalos, Raymond E. Feist, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a pilgrimage to Switzerland for 2 days. Departed on Friday night at 2 o'clock, arrived at saturday 15 o'clock, had times of reflection, a pilgrimage to a snowy valley and a midnight celebration in open air. Somewhere sleeping on a fieldbed, and then back home to fall down in the familiar bed on sunday evening around 11 o'clock.

Countries I’ve Visited
