About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Me and my partner Keekz are currently on some world travels exploring all kinds of countries and cultures. We choose to use couchsurfing as its a great way to meet local people and learn from other cultures, rather than staying in the same old tourist oriented hostel/hotel.
ABOUT ME
We've both grown up In London, but have been lucky to travel and see a lot of the world. But there is always more to see!
JJ - I enjoy Spoken word poetry, and it's use as an educational tool.
(here's me performing) - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DA8r-5Hljdw
I have been working with children for some time as a mentor and arts educator I'm also a gardener and carpenter.
I want to travel the world to meet all kinds of people and improve my own communication. And get first hand experience of other cultures.
Keekz -
I am a children's nurse so I enjoy interacting and looking after little people. I have an interest in mental health and have previously done a course relating to meditation and mindfulness. I can also be creative and can help with various art projects. I've always had a passion for travelling and I hope to continue having cultural experiences with the locals wherever I go.
PHILOSOPHY
"Love the life you live, Live the life u Love" - Bob Marley
Everyone you meet knows something you don't and get help you learn more about yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only ever been a surfer before on couch surfing before but I have hosted look ads of people at the boat I live on in London so am used to hosting people from all over the world!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I´ve had some amazing experience with couch surfing!
Made some friends for life in Rabat, Morocco, who I will definitely be visiting again!
Had a great visit to Budapest and got shown the nightlife and the super chillin thermal baths!
Interests
Other than performance poetry, I'm interested in Philosophy and Anthropology. I'm also looking at sustainable energy technologies and their application in developing off grid self-sufficient communities. I have begun developing plans for such projects with my family in Nigeria, with a focus on solar energy, biofuels and permaculture!
I want to visit sustainable living projects on my travels, to gain experience and contacts in this field.
