HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't travelled that much in the past, and now I'm going to travel a bit more, and I hope I will live many good experiences with CSers :)
I can not host people for now because I live in a shared flat, and my flatmates are not up for hosting people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much, but that will change very soon :) I have a lot of friends who have done couchsurfing and are all very happy about it. They hosted and visited other CSers, and they only have good memories from it :)

Teach, Learn, Share
What I would like to teach is that there are two gigantic problems in the world right now, that our generation has to deal with as fast as possible (for a very good book about this subject, see Prosperity Without Growth by Tim Jackson) :
1. the economic system which is based on infinite growth can simply not continue, we need to move to a system that deals with the limited resources of our planet (and surrounding asteroids if we ever start mining outer space, which some companies are actually trying to do, which is pretty damn cool :D)
2. we need to live within the limits of our planet : use clean and renewable technologies for energy (solar, wind, geothermal, water), and in every other field of human work (transport, construction, farming, industry, ...) we should also use techniques that work in the long term.
The great thing is, the solution to both problems is the same : taking care of the environment by cleaning up our energy infrastructure, conserving natural resources, recycling, increasing energy efficiency of buildings and houses, etc etc will create a gigantic amount of meaningful jobs (instead of hiring factory workers to make an enormous variety of useless products just to keep the economy growing).
