About Me

I am a Singaporean who was born in Kolkata and is now studying in the UK.

I would describe myself as insatiably curious: about places, people and experiences. I'm always down to try new things! Part of this includes seeing more of the world and meeting more of the people that inhabit it.

I'm new to couchsurfing but I'm eager to meet the people in this community :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To seek out new places, new people and new experiences.

Interests

I'm passionate about science, urban planning, public policy, exploring different cuisines, and life in general.

I am studying molecular and cell biology and am interested in fundamental research into the biology of aging.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll give you three:

1. Ate 50 year old soup in Bangkok, Thailand.
2. Skied (more like tumbled) down a red slope on my first couple of days ever skiing.
3. Almost got impaled by a sea urchin diving in zero visibility waters.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learnt a fair few Bengali and Singaporean recipes, so if you'd like to exchange recipes / learn to cook Indian food I'm your guy :)

I also happen to know a surprisingly large amount of trivia on a variety of topics, I would say I'm a decent conversationalist!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Engaging conversation on a variety of topics, ranging society, science, politics, food, etc. I have a relatively diverse background and especially like to talk to people with worldviews that differ from mine. I've got an open mind and I'm always seeking to learn more.

I can also cook some good indian (mostly bengali) food for us - if we can find the ingredients! :)
