ABOUT ME

Where to start...

My name is Mattias. Originally from Sweden, call Knoxville, TN home and lived in Salt Lake City, UT up until July 2013. Moving to Dundee, Scotland to start Medical School there.

Been a swimmer for as long as I can remember and that is what brought me to the states. I was apart of the swimteam at Tennessee but now I'm retired and enjoying other parts of life. Studied Biochemistry at Tennessee so I'm a little bit of a geek.

One of my hobbies is home brewing and I have been doing it for about four years. The science geek inside of me loves the chemistry and biology behind brewing and my taste pallets are not complaining. For fun I started a website for my brewery, check out PeKa Brewery

My family consist of my dad, Anders, my mom, Annika, and my younger sister, Hedvig. My dad and sister is still in Sweden, my mom lives and works in New Zealand.

Most people see me as easy going and I enjoy the company of other people but that does not make me afraid of being alone and travelling alone. That gives you a chance to meet new people!

My mission right now is to get all the continental states... only one left! I have traveled hours in the wrong way just to get this far. Hopefully I can get to North Dakota before it is all over... Here's a map to illustrate which one's i have done so far!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Grand Canyon is probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Sunset there is as beautiful as anything can get.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know alot about beer brewing but I am far away from an expert. I can teach, learn and share about beer.
I want to know more about everything, i don't wanna get it from a book, i wanna see it and experience it.
