ABOUT ME

I'm a California native now living in Hong Kong. After spending most my life living up and down California I finally got the opportunity to live abroad and am taking full advantage of it. I love living in Hong Kong and working remotely! I want to visit SEA and anywhere else thats affordable to get to from Hong Kong!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you are travelling from Asia to California I can give you information about restaurants and places you might want to visit. Especially if you like food and music! I have lived in the Bay Area most of my life but have also spent a lot of time in San Diego and Los Angeles.

Also if you are visiting Hong Kong I'd love to meet up with people and take them around and explore with them! I've come to know HK quite well and at least know some of the best bang for your buck restaurants. That's if your the adventurous type and like to try new things. If not, also know some of the better western restaurants here. Just saying. I love to eat...haha

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not really couch surfed yet. I'm looking forward to my first couch surfing experience during my SEA trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I've been a dj for most of my life and have djed in venues from san diego to san francisco to china and hong kong. I spin soulful house, underground hiphop, electro, disco, funk, boogie....just about everything. I can talk music all day. I really listen to everything and have an open mind about all genres of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge (in China) with a group of people that I met on a bus was definitely one of the most enriching experiences I've ever had. Not only was the view amazing, but just meeting people from all parts of the world and all walks of life made it that much more special.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always felt the best way to learn something is to dive into it and not just take whatever is on the surface. That is why the "couchsurfing" experience attracted me. Ideally, I would like to meet locals, live the way they do and get a glimpse into the everyday life of the locals. I also found that the locals know the best places to eat and party and I'm all about eating and partying and just experiencing the culture that is in front of me.

I see this as an exchange of experience and cultures. What I learn and experience is what I'd like to teach as well. I'd like to give them a glimpse of the culture I grew up in. Maybe discuss what its like to grow up as an Asian American.
