ABOUT ME

I guess you could say I've been around the block but I still have some good mileage in me yet- although my body sometimes tells me different. I love music and films and spend far too much time in front of a pc. I feel I know my town very well and could point out things for most people to do. I like live music and regularly go to gigs around Nottingham and have a taste for festivals abroad. I spent many years travelling and feel I have a good idea what travellers like and and enjoy.

Although I'm not quite the party guy I once was but still have my days.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love most kinds of music but am a sucker for good electronic music. I like things that challenge me as well as things that make me dance. I like Minimal and techy stuff as well as D&B and Breakbeat, Dub Reggae, Ska, Electronica I also like good signer songwriters Balkan music and a good guitar band taking me back to my old metal days at a youth..

I watch a lot of films too many too list but we have a very good independent cinema locally so i go there a lot to see films not made by hollywood.

I love travel books to give me ideas for adventures and to let me know I'm not hard enough to endure 30 days sleeping in a dead polar bear while an artic storm blazes outside ! So Eric Newby, Bruce Chatwin, Tim Moore Nicholas Crane, William Dalrymple, Tim Cahill, Norman Lewis etc..

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

There are many but my time in the Himalayas crossing a 5500 metre pass whilst trekking still counts as one of my highest points both literally and figuratively speaking.

Meeting the Dalai Lama at his residence in India was pretty special too...

Meeting amazing people from around the world and sharing stories and adventures and passing on knowledge and experiences.
