About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find awesome experiences outside of my comfort zone.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Surrey, British Columbia; fairly closed off from the world.

I first got my taste for travel when I decided on a whim to head off to New Zealand. I loved the experience so much that I continued on to Australia to work and live. Unfortuantley I had to head back to Canada and ended up working for almost a year to save up more funds.

Ever since leaving my home country I have had an instatiable thirst for travelling. Looking at maps I find new places I add to my list, and I'm becoming afraid that I will not be able to visit everything (and I really want to see EVERYTHING).

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy yourself, listen to the voice inside you and be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I haven't used CS as much as I would have liked to, I try and get other people to use this site and get off the beaten track of hostels and to meet some locals. I recommend CS to everyone I meet, and try to get them into the spirit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While in New Zealand, I had a couple of CS experiences. I had a blast with the people I stayed with.

Throughout the USA I stayed with many, many Couchsurfers and have refound my love for the community. Never have I met people so friendly, kind and open than here.

One of my most memorable experiences was in New Orleans where a house of Couchsurfers held a Thanksgiving get-together for CSers. I met a ton of interesting people and had an amazing night!

Interests

My interests change and grow over time, like most people. There really is no end to what I find interesting as I love learning and expanding my knowledge.

To keep it broad, without going into detailed specifics..

-Reading
-Writing
-Travel
-Philosophy
-Languages/Language structure
-Nature
-Science

The list goes on and on..

  • writing
  • reading
  • traveling
  • track and field
  • cartography
  • languages
  • science

Music, Movies, and Books

Literature and Science are my favourite reads. Hermann Hesse is my favourite author of the moment.

Just finished Reading: Journey to the East by Hermann Hesse

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I previously had listed here that leaving Canada was an amazing thing, but now that I look at it, it was fairly easy. One amazing thing I've come to realize is how connected everyone can be if they just open up a little.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn from people and share things, especially ideas and views on life and everything. There's nothing I can put down exactly that I can teach, but I am always willing to listen to people. I've a wide breadth of knowledge and would be willing to help anyone with anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Samoa

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada, New Zealand
