About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To shed most of the trappings of my past material life and get back to the basics. I gave up traveling to raise a family and work my tail off and now it is time for me.
ABOUT ME
As for me, I basically retired in 2008 when the company I was a Regional VP of Sales & General Manager went bankrupt due to the housing bubble. At that time I was running the western division from Scottsdale AZ. For the past 2 years I have been involved in consulting with software start-up companies that although fulfilling have not been lucrative as of yet.
For the past 20 years or so I have been an executive in Sales and Marketing with Home Improvement, publishing and real estate advertising companies.
I have been divorced since 2005, living most of that time by myself or with my youngest daughter. I have lived on the beach in Florida, in the mountains in Flagstaff, on the island in New York and in the city in New Orleans, just to name a few. Because of my work both of my children likened themselves to army brats. They didn't appreciate the qualities that gave them then bit they have both expressed the gratitude for such an experience as young adults.
I have two daughters, 22 and 24. The eldest a graduate of American University who still lives and works there. My youngest has a blossoming music career and lives in both Austin and Tampa. I am very proud of both of them and like most parents consider them my greatest accomplishment.
In January of this year my youngest daughter, I have 2, and I went to South America for her first out-of-country experience. Since that time I have been writing a book, recently finished and in proofing stage with the publisher, and living in Maine.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't look back.
