ABOUT ME
im a drummer and 50% of a rock instrumental band called Matter and Memory, and that really explains me very well because it necessarily makes me a sort of musical hermit. I am fairly quiet most of the time, an introvert by my own definition, and to get lost in ducussion, i really like to read/look at/ponder: Science, Philosophy, Art, Music, some social science "ordeals", i LOVE to go on hikes although i dont get to camp much because there isnt time in my life right now. i love to photograph and record nature.
PHILOSOPHY
i live my life because life chose me to live...i am here for what i am here for...i think its to play the drums...

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of international movies, one i saw recently and really liked was called "Zelary" and i thought it was such a sweet movie, but very sad at the end. As far as music goes...some of my favorite artists are: The Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Tool, Godspeed You Black Emperor, A Silver Mount Zion, Radiohead, Meshuggah, Deftones, King Crimson, Led Zepplin, Hella, Dredg, GMFTPO, Placebo, Modest Mouse, Growing, Boards of Canada, This Heat...oh geez i love so much music ill just stop there for now :) Now for books my interests are about as wide spread as my love of music...currently im reading Henri Bergson's "Matter and Memory" as well as Edward Beltrami's "This Chancy, Chancy, Chancy, World" as well as a compilation of most of Henri Micheaux's works entitled, "Darkness Moves." Other than that i am reading my monthly suscription to "Discover" magazine as well as trying to read as many of last years "Science" journals as i can, i recently was given the entire 2005 catalogue of "Science" magazine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ever since i picked up a pair of drumsticks and got behind a drum kit i loved it. every time i play is marvelous and amazing to me. it warps my mind.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach anyone to play something on a drumkit...and i like to think that i can at least simplify and help explain some philosophical concepts and scientific theories...
