Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore and meet like-minded people; laid back, adventurous, creative, etc.
ABOUT ME
I'm 26 years. I have a passion for music (drumming and percussion, mainly; singing, too), literature (poetry, Modern British, Modern American, etc.), writing (poetry/lyrics), speaking German, hiking, biking, running, most every form of exercise, and trying new things. I just moved to Asheville, NC during the last week of July, so I'm in a weird spot living arrangement wise; I'm sort of hopping from hostels and crashing random places. I acquired two jobs real quickly; however, I'm having difficulty finding an affordable spot to call home!
PHILOSOPHY
It's hard to pinpoint any exact, fixed philosophy on life, though I try to live each day, one day at a time, to better understand myself and my fellow humankind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I haven't had much CouchSurfing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: anything tasteful that has something to say; American Beauty, Rainman, The Dark Knight, Leaving Las Vegas, The Weatherman, etc.
Music: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Third Eye Blind, Circa Survive, Periphery, Radiohead, As I Lay Dying, Atreyu (old), Killswitch Engage, Porcupine Tree, etc.; anything from hardcore to jazz, and everything in between.
Books: anything by Charles Bukowski, anything by Timothy Liu, anything by Sherman Alexie, The Financial Lives of the Poets, The Catcher in the Rye, James Joyce's Dubliners, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a fair share of hiking and camping throughout the New Jersey portion of the Appalachian Trail, which was on par with perfection. Being entirely immersed (as much as our technology-frenzied society allows) in nature makes one feel so small, so insignificant; and that's the point, we are just a small part of the grand scheme of things.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are creatures of habit, denial, defense mechanisms, and, most of all, nature. We need to stop being spoon-fed in almost every facet of daily life; the media lies, the government lies, etc. Truth is what you, as an individual, make of it, not something projected onto a big screen and made appealing via intrusive advertising and subliminal messages.
