COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We met a good friend of ours by allowing her to "couch-surf" at our place this past June (2009) when we lived in NYC and she later stayed w/ us again at our new place here in Miami this past August (2009). She uses the site often for her travels, so we figured we'd try our luck with it for homecoming weekend at UF this October. We've also hosted someone else last June (2009, again at our place in NYC) who we'd met through a different, non-couch-surfing site--he was coming to town for a concert (which we were also attending) and he ended up being a really cool dude and is now a friend of ours. We've tried to show all of our guests the sights when they have stayed with us. All in all, we've had some very positive couchsurfing experiences so far (though mainly as hosts and now once as a guest).
