ABOUT ME
!!!This profile is under Construction!!!
Ryan:25 Lizzy: 22. We love the outdoors, travelling, doing stuff outdoors, meeting new people, hiking outside, dancing, being outside. We really like the outside. Especially places that haven't been touched much by humankind.
We are very into self-sustainability and food growing. We love yoga, making cheese and ice cream, growing stuff and natural remedies.
Ryan: I have been told that I am really chill (apparently a token characteristic of Coloradans). I am a bit eccentric, however you'll have to find that out as I can be a bit shy about myself at first. Although I'm still very friendly and extroverted right off the bat. I am a Christian, but won't push anything. However, I like to talk about that sort of stuff, so if your down, then so am I.
Lizzy: I am getting a certification in Holistic Health. My desire is to be a practicing reflexologist.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life for God(please don't think I'm being too heavy or anything. I have great joy in this). I beleive that He has the best for me, and even more than I could do for myself. He is my passion. But He has given me a very adventursome spirit and an eccentric nature. I love to travel and experience new things. I beleive that life should be lived to live, not to work or anything else. If your not living, then something needs to change. Just so you know, I am usually a very lighthearted person. But I do have the ability to be serious, too. I think I might be getting into my serious mood cause of this question. Welp, on to the next one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ryan started us on Couchsurfing. He spent a summer traveling Europe and the Middle East, staying with CSers and at Hostels.
He took me on a trip to Santa Fe where we stayed with a great group of people and then a fantastically eccentric German out in the middle of nowhere who lived off the grid and had a pet raven. We also surfed with a great guy in Portland on a trip through the Northwest.
We have not hosted anyone, yet, as we live in a pickup truck, but hope to as soon as we settle somewhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have now Couch Surfed in two continents and three different countries and had a great time in all occasions and even got to break in 2 new hosts. Due to couchsurfing, I have been escorted through Las Fallas, a fesival in Valencia, invited to dinner by a Palestinian family, walked through a Muslim cemetery at night (oooooh, think ghost), and rhomped through the streets of Vienna in the best of style.
Lizzy and I had a great time in Santa Fe, waking up every morning to the households morning "chill" jam sessions. We stayed with a crazy German on the edge of a National Forest and got a tour of his "off-the-grid" house. We also got a great tour of Portland, OR and got to enjoy all the food, coffee and beer, as well as attend the Rose Festival.
Interests
Everything almost. If it's a crazy adventure, I'm almost always down. Well, at least if death has less than a 50% chance ;). I really like to hike, mountaineer, snowshoe, ski, snowboard, play frisbee, drink a good Fat Tire or 90 Schilling with my good friends, camp, 4-wheel, talk about stuff that people care about (it's always good if they have a passion for it), travelling, and just experiencing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lord of the Rings (movie). Into the Wild and the Bible (books). And good music (big band, classic and more).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think everything is amazing. Just that every person has so much to offer and give. I think the most amazing thing I've done is spending the summer in Vail, CO in 2005 with the best people I know. That community was closer than anything I ever thought possible. The most amazing thing I've seen is the sun rise on the Mount of the Holy Cross after getting up at 3:30 in the morning to hike up a 13,500 ft. mountain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am well versed in Sustainable Development and Tourism Management. I know a pretty good amount about the Bible. I am really good at cooking eggs and steak, I think. And I am very good at finding a good ale that I would like if there is one around. I would like to know more about Islam and really whatever else you might have a passion for.
