About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Blessed are the curious, for they shall have adventures.

ABOUT ME

Without being so outgoing, I´m actually a very social person. I´m currently working in Masaya Hostel in Bogota and majoring in business administration. I´m a great listener, and really enjoy a smart and good conversation. Huge sports and music fan. Pop, rock, indie, new age, alternative, soccer and tennis mostly. I like cold over hot, coffee over hot chocolate, daylight over night. Meaningless details. I enjoy the small things in life, like a beer with friends or a dinner with family. No need to make it big to make it meaningful. Life is what you make it. Absolutely passionate about travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

How do you eat an elephant? A bite at a time.

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. "It goes on".

Collect moments, not things.

"If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?"

Saying "hello", "thanks", "how are you", "please", "sorry".... Love those words.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a lot of people at my place and surfed a lot of couches during my stay in Europe. Met some great people along the way! I´m hosting more people now!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Best experiences ever! It's unbelievable the kind of people you can meet. Awesome. People are really cool and I love the fact that you learn from different cultures and countries by hosting and surfing. Differences and distances between people and countries are reduce by Couchsurfing! And after all.... you understand that there are more similarities than differences!

Interests

I love to travel and meet people and places completely different from me and my hometown. My passion! I like to have a good laugh and a good time. I enjoy to have a beer and a good talk. I love music, sports€ and movies¦ Most of them. If you are a sports or a music fan, I think we can hit it off right away; if you are not€¦ Well, we´€™ll figure something out then, but it´ll also work out for sure.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading, I've been getting more into it in the last couple of years. I have read The Catcher in the Rye, Vagabonding, Life of Pi, couple of biographies, The World is Flat, The Hunger Games trilogy, the Diary of Anne Frank, One Hundred Years of Solitude; I also like reading about traveling and history.

When it comes to movies I like A Beautiful Mind, Forrest Gump, The Bucket List, Inception, V for Vendetta, The Shawshank Redemption, Shutter Island, The Pursuit of Happiness, Life of Pi, Memento, La vita è bella, Amelie, The Railway Man, A Clockwork Orange, The Butterfly Effect, Les Intouchables, Inglourious Basterds, Limitless, and so on and so on.... I like films that go beyond the regular stuff and that make you think for a while.

Now, when it comes to music€.... Now we a€™re talking. I like The Fray, Mumford and Suns, Metronomy, The Kooks, Foster the People, Coldplay, MGMT, The killers, Feist, Teme Impala, Kings of convenience, Snow Patrol, Blackmore´€™s Night, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, The Vaccines, Dashboard Confessional, City and Colour, Playing for Change, Sting, Journey, Bon Jovi, A Fine Frenzy, Frightened Rabbit, Lifehouse€....... And the list goes on and on as well. Absolutely love concerts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get a tattoo, swim naked in a lagoon, Tubing in Canada, Bungee, paragliding, lots of concerts, hitchhike around Europe, sleep in hammocks, go camping in my country, participate on CS… And trying to finish the list.

Teach, Learn, Share

Writing all the things I can learn from Couchsurfers would be very long, but I think that anything I can teach or learn from them can be summarized in one word: Sharing; languages, experiences, stories, points of view, cultures, food, ways of living; that's what I've learned so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A smile..... and food ;)
