My mission...I am a woman of many missions...but the overlying one that drives every breath I eagerly take is to spread love and happiness. Call me a hippie, call me whatever. But no amount of negativity will deter me from achieving this goal.

ABOUT ME

I am a sparkler on a deep dark night when all of the stars are out. My sparks dance and twinkle with the oldest of stars and youngest of stellar clouds. Fireflies swirl around your head and you are dizzy with lights. You smell the fresh grass and the must from the trees around you. I am light. I am fresh scents. I am how I make you feel. About me is a self-centered and close-minded way of getting to know someone...I can list off all of the things that I can write on a resume, but I am not applying for a job. I am searching for experiences and hopefully you are too. As with me, what defines me, are the people who surround me.

PHILOSOPHY

I am like night and day, light and dark, ice cream and green beans...because when i wake up every day from my nightmares...i actually live my dreams. life is about balance and you can't have the sweet without the sour...

I was a teacher in Chicago for three years. Now I am a volunteer teacher trainer for Peace Corps. After that, who knows? I have developed a philosophy of blissful happiness. An equation, a strategy, a pattern that helps me live every day to the greatest potential.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by not defacing the wonderful name and trust of Couch Surfers and I spread happiness around the world with the help of Couch Surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to the site yet I have hosted multiple times before as my roommate had the couch surfers account with our home. I loved it so much that I am joining.

I didn't celebrate my birthday alone in this new country of mine. I shared it with my new friends from couch surfers who made me a delicious cake.

Interests

god what a funny section. interests. so broad. maybe this section is for the people who are stagnant and stuck in loving the same three or four things that they think creates their personality. i have an interest in everything. every day i find a new interest. whether it is my goal to learn how to play the violin in the next three years or how to cook. i think the reason that people find me interesting is that i am changing so often and quickly. i have never been bored in my life. whether it is backpacking through europe, climbing mountains, drawing, painting, writing, reading, singing, laughing, loving, learning, living...my interests are entirely too vast to be contained to such small character space.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is the beat of one's soul and my soul is as vibrant and various as a rainbow with rain drops bouncing off its rays. i love all kinds of music. in fact im notorious for loving almost every song that i hear. i am not a music snob but i know a lot of music. i have a song for every moment, every important happening in my life. when asked about my music, it's as difficult as choosing what i want to do in a day. it's an open possibility of listening to oldies or venturing into the newbies. if you happen to be in the same country, state or city as me, we might get the chance to share a song together as we make a memorable moment in life....You think you can make it into my playlist?

if you didn't get a little glimmer into the workings and mechanics of my soul by reading about my music, please don't waste your time by reading on. if you don't understand my connection and passion to music then you won't unlock the mystery that makes me unique. because similar to my music preferences, my movie selection is quite diverse and in depth. i run on the trails to music that echoes my footsteps and i paint to the reflections of chosen inspirational movies that make my talent tick. i love every type of film so don't for a second think to type cast me into a genre of personality by what movies i love. i quote movies and breathe movies like i was in them. i walk around the city, a major character in my own movie. i love movies like i love my childhood friends. and some movies know more secrets about myself than some of my friends. they are there when i am in the most desolate place in my heart and creativity. if you watch a movie that you have seen a thousand times before with me, be prepared to see a whole other movie...

oh books. oh the love of my life. if you remember the childhood joke of "if you love it so much why don't you marry it?" then this arena of my life would apply. if you dont get the joke, please stop reading and move on because you are way too young for me. books have more meaning, more compassion, more stimulation than most people that i have met. books are like the passion that i have for music and movies combined. when i read, i hear music and see the movie in my mind. it is sensory overload and i get a sort of stimulation from reading that is unlike any other. i love reading. i am a reading teacher. my job is to sell books through my convincing words and short tales of what they would miss if they didn't read the book. i dream of becoming an author and one day someone will be writing such a description as this with my book in their mind. if you don't read, you dont live. books and stories are the tales and dreams of other people and living through other people, you get a broader insight into the world as a whole and how it functions. my favorite author is tom robbins. i owe so much to his sparkles of words upon his pages that have given so much light to my world.

Uh, really can't answer this one. I see/do amazing, wondrous and striking things on a daily basis.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a talented creature. I am not gifted. Everything that I have as far as talents, skills, attributes, I have worked very hard to tune. I have so much to share and to teach. The list could go on forever because everyday I learn something new that I can therefore pass on to teach to someone else. A simple one, i can teach you how to paint with passion.
