ABOUT ME
fascinated by discovering, i always liked traveling.
I live like a gypsy, but i love to keep in touch with all the important people in my life, doesn't matter how physically far we are.
The first big change in my life occurred when i moved with my family from Ventimiglia to Desenzano del Garda. I was fifteen by that time, and from then i haven't been able to settle for too long in the same place.
After the high school I've lived in London, where i studied, worked and had fun for 2 years. Then i was for 1 year in Urbino, 1 more year in Bilbao, 6 months in central America, and then i got my university degree in communication.
During 4 years in Torino i specialized in development cooperation first, and then in video production (those two things doesn't seem to have much in common, but in some way they can...)
In 2010 i had a great experience living and working in a cooperation project in Peru.
After 6 months more or less living in Germany, I came back to Italy for working with disabled people, as i did seasonally for the last 5 years.
Right now i'm planning to move to Australia, let's see what happens there... (2011)
Ok, Australia was great, and i had the chance to visit New Zealand, and some south east asian countries. Now back to the old continent...and still has to see what happens next! (2014)
My life changed a bit in the past years. I now spend half of the year in Torino, working as a carpinter with a friend and enjoying this lively city. I often travel to the baltic coast of Germany for visiting my daughter Ainhoa. During summer i work on the Alps with disabled guys, and keep for myself 3/4 months a year for traveling around (2019)
I am vegetarian, love cooking, eating, drinking, having interesting talks, having funny talks
PHILOSOPHY
live and let live, but don't be selfish
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
as soon as i will stabilize myself somewhere, I will be glad to host travelers.
I like to give what i would like to receive when i am around
I had wonderful experiences while traveling in Colombia and Venezuela, since then i am promoting CS amogst all of my friends
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
in fact, i have always been couch surfing, but my way and by my own.
I like hosting people when I've got the chance. And I've got a net of friends I can rely on when I'm in need.
Many times I hosted people (in my or somebody else house..) when i found them lost in Ventimiglia, my hometown on the border between italy and france, well known by european travelers because they often get stuck there due to train connection problems...
Interests
i like walking around, trekking, camping.
environment protection, development cooperation, video production, some of politics, and above all, traveling.
But also...I like good wine, good food, good beer, good conversations...
When i travel my main aim is to get to know as much as possible of my hosting country
I have taken many flights in my life, but i don't really like it (in fact i especially dislike it because it's a really polluting and not natural way of moving). I'd rather take trains, walk, use the bike, or hitchhike-the most fascinating way, in my opinion.
In the past years i had a van (older than me!) and we had some nice adventures together; but it stinks so much when it's switched on that i always felt guilty to use it! I own a Vespa (1 year younger than me) that occasionally takes me on mid distance trips since i was 18.
I now have another campervan! A bit more ecofriendly as it runs with LPG, and is my home for several months in the year
