About Me

I'm 27 y.o. and I live in Lisbon, where I work.

I like to say I play the guitar, but truth is I'm not really good. When I just want to take my head of from all the stuff I've to read for my work and studies, I read books I don't have to.
I enjoy romantic comedies. It's lame but that's why they call it "guilty pleasures".

I'm always on a run. If you are hoping for a host who sticks to you like glue... better ask someone else. Most probably I'll be working, studying or doing something with my friends - you're always invited to join us in the latter.
My promise is that I'll have at least a morning/afternoon/evening to hang out and show you my favorite place, the best coffee shop or to cook you some portuguese food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy the idea of CS, even if most of the time I don't "need" to use it.
I've a lot of friends from all around Europe and I usually stay with them when I travel. Yet, I like to host people. This idea of gratuity and being here for one another is something I deeply care for.

Interests

Photography - I would like to learn more about it.
I like to travel (obviously), but mostly because I enjoy engaging in the different life styles. I like people - different people. And learning languages.

Politics. History (that interesting element of History that allows you to understand people and their culture. I get lost on the dates though...).

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy the Resistence stuff: the portuguese "Até Amanhã Camaradas", or the italian "L'Agnese Va a Morire", are just two amazing books. About another way of facing war, "Des Hommes et des Dieux" is a terrific movie. "Le Train de la Vie" is also fascinating.
Being a volunteer alongside the Jesuits, I always marvel with "The Mission". And recently, Scorcese's "Silence".

And then, all those Hollywood common places: "The Godfather", "Forrest Gump", ecc. But also random non-american storytelling, as "Pride", "Calvary", "Amelie", "Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?" or "Goodbye Lenine".
And Disney. My goal it's to know a Disney song in all the languages I'm able to speak.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Those night train travels all around Italy. It's impressive the amount of strangers you get to meet. They share their life experiences or even a cup of coffee and breakfast when for some reason you get stuck at some unexpected station.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook Portuguese. It's good (and I'm good doing it).
