About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life to its fullest. Don't let other people or the "norm" tell me what to do.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people. I love travelling. I love music. I love SCIENCE. In all honesty, I love a lot of things.

I'm a really easy-going 23 year old who lives in the Midwest, USA. I don't think I'm alone (at least in my age group) when I say that I'm not particularly proud to be American. We're a selfish country with the strange belief that we MUST stick our nose into other people's business, though it usually ends up poorly for everyone.

With that being said, I'm really not a negative person. I can get along with just about anyone. I like going to bars, playing music (guitar, drums, synth), listening to music, exploring new places, being social, as well as many other things.

I don't want to bore you, so I'll stop here.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to house just about anyone that needs a place to stay. Minnesota is a great place to visit. Not only is it the most educated state in the country, it's one of the nicest (probably due to its location and relatively small population, but that's beside the point). Send me an email, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I'm REALLY interested to meet new people from anywhere (including other Americans).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted once before, and I really enjoyed it. We had good conversation, and they appreciated my sleeping quarters. I'd like to do it again.

Interests

Music, traveling, science (specifically biological science), meeting new people, enjoying life, having a good time, biking. Did I mention traveling and meeting new people?

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not MUCH of a reader, but I do like myself some Vonnegut as well as some non-fiction (mostly biographies).

Music: The Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, The Talking Heads, Radiohead, David Bowie, The Cure, The Smiths, The Magnetic Fields, Björk, Daft Punk, The Pixies, The Velvet Undergound, Spoon, Blonde Redhead.

Movies: 2001: A Space Oddysey, Dancer in the Dark, High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, and MANY others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went into the once tallest building in the world (The Sears Tower in Chicago, IL, USA), went down a floor, and went back outside. It's a good story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn how other people in other countries live their lives. I'm not a scholar when it comes to my country's culture, but I'd love to impart any knowledge you would be willing to listen to.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Belize, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Romania

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom, United States
