About Me

Hey! Doing the teacher thing in South Korea. I love the spirit behind couch-surfing and have wanted to give it a go for quite a while. I'm easy going, open-minded, and try my best to be positive about most things in life. And I’m fun (but I’m probably biased haha). I’m a bit of an information-hound and love reading about the weird and wonderful, interesting and not so interesting. The simple things in life are what really appeal to me. Good food, good beer and good friends. I enjoy the outdoors and tried to surf as often as I could back home (that doesn't mean I’m good!). I love trying my hand at new things and experiences.

*I had some references on here from surfers but I guess they disappeared?*

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like I said, I really dig the spirit behind it and it’s only since I’ve moved to Korea that I’ve had my own place and been able to host. I think it’s a great way to meet people you would never come across in everyday life.

Interests

I would say traveling but I think that’s a given for most on here! I enjoy trying my hand at most things, so lately that’s been playing mandolin, surfing, and getting my hands on a longboard. I’m an avid reader who doesn’t have a lot of time to read anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- Lots and lots. Try me.

Music- Again, everything and anything. Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, a soft spot for 90’s Alt Rock, Ska, dance punk, folk etc. I just like music full stop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 2 months going coast to coast (two times!) in the US.

Lived like a beach bum in Australia for 6 months.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you’ve got anything interesting you wanna talk about then I’m all ears. Politics, religion, globalisation, history, old school Nintendo, whatever!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, France, Greece, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
