Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Arthur, I live in Toulouse, France and I am 25 years old. I'm going to talk about my passions because my job doesn't really reflect my personality and law is generally boring (sometimes not).
I dedicate most of my free time to music, I am a producer, musician and DJ. I'm used to perform and I'm lucky enough to be able to travel a little thanks to that.
I have several musical projects but I am particularly sensitive to electronic music and especially to synthwave, cold wave or italo disco.
I travel with Amélia, my girlfriend with whom I live in Toulouse. We had the chance to perform together several times as DJs and I think we are very open-minded. We like to listen to old rock music until the night falls while drinking a good beer, watching The office (best TV show ever) while eating a good dish we made, go hiking to see the sunset...
I think we both know how to show good manners and respect through our interest in the people we meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it would be a pity to visit a country without immersing yourself in the local culture thanks to its inhabitants. I had the chance to do this in the past outside of the Couchsurfing website and I am convinced that the bonds you can create by hosting people or by being hosted are strong and long lasting. That's why we haven't considered the possibility of visiting a country without couchsurfing, we have a lot to discover.
Interests
I have been singing in a jazz choir during 3 years. Also, I had a rockband during 4 years.

Music, Movies, and Books
For my French fellows, one of my favorite songs is "Une autre histoire" by Gérard Blanc. But I'm pretty sure you can appreciate it without understanding the lyrics. There is something quite nostalgic in the beautiful sense of the word, but all carried by rather sad melodies.
Otherwise, songs that I've been listening to since I was a kid and that I think I'll love all my life, are the tracks from the album Minute to Midnight by Linkin Park. They all still resonate tremendously with me.
I think one of my favorite movies is Fight Club (I think it's my favorite movie because I've only seen it once, I'm trying to keep that memory intact so it doesn't fall off the podium).
And I'm not a big reader but I loved "Waiting for Bojangles", which was written by a French writer and translated into many languages. I recommend it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Poland for 1 year, the year of the covid. It was both scary and beautiful to be in a country without tourists, with almost no activity. I was able to enjoy 200% of what these lands have to offer, especially the nature.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beautiful discussions and calm and festive moments. And maybe a music production session? I'll always have the bare essentials with me to produce music anywhere. We are also very good cooks, I think we can make discover many French recipes revisited in our way
