About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To break down the walls...
ABOUT ME
I am a thoughtful, critical and compassionate human being trodding the road of creation. The more you live the more you learn. True experience, true action and immersion is the key to understanding. I love reading, music, philosophical and spiritual conversation, eating and drinking, learning and speaking foreign languages (and teaching them) and MUSIC (djing, playing instruments, clubs, dancing). I was formerly a teacher of Sociology/History in the UK for 4.5 years. Moved to Berlin in 2014 to commence in international MA that took me to both Argentina and India. I moved to Bern, Swirtzerland in October 2018 to commence what looks to be an amazing PhD project researching Jamaican and Mexican culture influences on US Hip Hop, sweeeeet :)
PHILOSOPHY
It is by living through difficulty and adversity that we learn to grow into the person we wish to be (but sometimes I wish it could be easier, haha). "Life is what you make it they say..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unable to host at present since my move to Bern (I am staying in a temporary place) currently, but have done extensively both in Bristol (UK) and Berlin (Germany). Often not formally through couchsurfing, but communal living and an open door policy is my own given the kindness of 'strangers' and all they have done for me the world over (which I always wish to do in return, such is the power of travel, connections, breaking down barriers etc).
Willing to share tai chi, qi gong, languages, sociology, political understanding (hasta la victoria siempre) and knowledge/passion for many different types of music (roots reggae, dub, disco, house, techno... DETROIT)!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Valencia, and 'informal' CSing elsewhere including friends I met along the way in Vigo, Gaelicia., Sardinia for 8 days.
