ABOUT ME

I am currently working as a adult language instructor. I teach Irish (Gaeilge) our native language and I love it! I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. Work gives me the opportunity to travel within Ireland and abroad because there is now a greater interest than ever in the Irish language (at home and abroad) but unfortunately I don't get to travel for pleasure as much as I would like to these days but I am working on that!

PHILOSOPHY

Jump in the water, even if you can't swim you'll probably have a good time trying to get back to the shore!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed on many, many couches...all around the world, but unfortunately that was all before I found out about this great site! I have only hosted a few CSers and I have met others for drinks and coffee. I have moved around a bit over the last few years so it has been hard to host but with enough notice in advance I can usually swing it. No harm in asking!

Interests

Anything and everything cultural, languages, history, music...anything interesting. Meeting new people and sharing experiences is my greatest interest!

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the books I have read are in Gaeilge (Irish) but I also like history, historical fiction... it all depends on my mood. As for music, I listen to a lot of different stuff, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Chant, Reggae, Rock, Trad, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skied in the Pyrenees, Learned to make 10 paellas at one time on an open fire, survived a night of conversation with a Brazilian (you know who you are!), rode the subway at night...I do this as often as possible

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't be shy... I'm a good communicator. People who I have met over the years have told me that I'm very easy to talk to. I am a teacher after all!
