My mission is to expand my world view. I want to go to where I haven't been, revisit where I have been, and gather good friends as I go!

ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting new people and always hope to find good friendships.I am most remember for my cake baking, foosball playing and duck collection. It isn't hard to amuse me; I try to have fun in whatever I am doing. I don't particularly like to travel alone, but it doesn't stop me. I am open minded and love to take a peek at new cultures!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this is a great community! I have friends that have joined, traveled with and I have met via couchsurfing. It is a great way to meet new people, get advice about an area, have a personal tour guide and discover more of the world!

Surfed Paris,France twice; surfed Oslo, Norway; lived with couchsurfers;hosted couchsurfers; traveled with couchsurfers; and remain good friends with couchsurfers.

Interests

I like art, cooking, drinking, foosball and sports. I am interested in good conversation over a cup of fresh brewed coffee, a pitcher of flavorful beer, or an aromatic glass of wine.

Trying new things is how I continue to grasp myself. I just like to meet new people and have fun!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, but am not a music snob. I tend to enjoy most music, as long as there is something playing. I have my preferences, but don't tend to let them limit me. Some of my current favorites are Postal Service, Kunek/Other Lives, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Nora Jones, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon and Bare Naked Ladies.

Movies are amazing, but my memory is not...
I forget movies about a week after I watch them (Bonus: I can rewatch movies and they are just as great as the first showing!).
Movies I know I enjoyed:Inception, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, The Emperor's New Groove, Superbad, Shawn of the Dead, Snatch, Momento, League of Their Own, and Office Space.
I'm kinda all over the place on movie types too.

I am just now starting to take time to sit and read... Most books I've read in the past few years were class or work related...not too much fun in that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the chance to live in Germany and travel parts of Europe for a little over 2 years. Can't wait to keep adding more adventures to my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I personally don't feel like an expert on anything. I am patient with and will help others that are learning English. I like to learn from others...I tend to listen and learn a lot from new people. I do need help with learning new languages...English is the only language I am well versed in and it even fails me at times...
