About Me

Hi, My name is Maria Eduarda, but my nickname is Duda. I am a 21 years old Brazilian undergraduate student in geology. I like to be in the outdoors, to walk, cycle and explore new places.
I was born, raised and I still live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Also, I had the experience of living in Galway, Ireland for a year as an exchange student. During this period I travelled very much through Europe and met many people who travelled using couchsurfing, what changed the way I see travelling now, because the couchsurfing is opening many more possibilities to know this world a little more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The couchsurfing concept inspired me to join this incredible web and to maintain the possibilities of knowing new, different people and cultures and also to spread my culture around the world.

Interests

My interests are geology, science, music, photography, mountaineering, biking, road trips, cooking and books.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am used to listen to rock, pop, MPB, jazz, ska, blues - lots of different styles and I am interested in listening to new ones.
I like medieval and science fiction movies and series and I also love nature related documentaries.
I enjoy reading different kinds of books, and one of my favourite authors is Agatha Christie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done were the two 30 days backpacking trips I did through Europe during my exchange abroad. They were simply incredible and motivated me to continue travelling as much as I can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some things about geology, science, Brazilian culture and history. I also know a bit if Irish culture and history.
I am interested on learning anything about different cultures, from the food to the language.
I would like to share all kinds of experiences (I feel comfortable with) with new people.
