About Me
ABOUT OUR HOUSE
We bought a fixer upper in November '18 and are actively working on it. We have a guest bed/bath that remains fully operational through the various construction projects. We have 2 dogs that don't drool, shed or bark much but expect some love and cuddles from all visitors.
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, answer questions, grab food with travelers. And when the spirit moves us, we hit the road and appreciate others doing the same!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a veteran surfer. I made it from Miami to Los Angeles and back on my motorcycle relying almost entirely on couchsurfing. I have also hosted a number of times.

Music, Movies, and Books
Typical 'guy' music and movies and even the occasional chick flick.
Game of Thrones (books) are pretty great. Can't wait for the 6th! C'mon grrm.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bought a motorcycle. Gone on road trips. 2008: I rode to Kansas City to watch the Detroit Tigers play the Kansas City Royals (with my GMA). 2009: Rode to Louisville, KY to hike and camp in the Daniel Boone National Forest then rode to St Louis, MO to watch the Tigers play the Cardinals (again, with my GMA), then rode up through Chicago on the way home. 2010: Moved to the Florida Keys. 2011: Took up spearfishing, got Scuba certified. 2012: Quit my job and went on a cross-country motorcycle trip all by my lonesome - a HUGE thank you to everyone who hosted me along the way! I made some great, and lifelong, friends in the process. 2013: Did something I said I would never do... went back to school to get a masters in construction management. 2014: Moved (11th address in 10 years) to Fort Collins, CO and got a job as a project manager for a design build construction company. 2015: Epic 30th birthday party in the mountains with family and friends from all over the country. 2016: Island hopping in the BVI and FWI with college buddies on a private boat
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fairly well versed in survival from a philosophical perspective. I've watched every Survivorman, Man vs Wild, Dual Survival, Man Woman Wild episode ever. Discovery channel should put me on a show of my own where I go out into the wild with the "knowledge" but not much real experience. I think it'd make for excellent TV.

What I Can Share with Hosts
An enthusiasm to learn about them and their city! And I will buy dinner - when the host allows it. Hosts are notoriously generous though, so this is a rarity :-)
