Overview
About Me
I (Romana) grew up in Solothurn. After living in Tokyo for one year together with my Boyfriend (Simon), we decided that Solothurn is the place to live and love for the time being. After living in the old part of town for 12 years, we moved just outside the city walls into a nice single family home. Meanwhile, we got married and have two kids (born 2017 and 2019).
Currently, I manage two family-run Cinemas here in town, together with my siblings. I teach synchronized swimming and work as a city guide in Solothurn. Simon is a self-employed photographer, 2022 marked his 10 year anniversary of being his own boss :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have lots of space in our apartment and like to meet new friends. As a plus, we can visit couchsurfing-friends when we are on a trip ourselves. Cheap and culturally enhanced. Yay!
Interests
Cinema, arts and crafts, design, travelling, eating good food, Carnival ("Fasnacht"), music.
Simon would add: Sports (cycling, climbing, cross-country skiing), photography, cultural things and customs, traditions and new interpretations of it.
Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many...we like to exchange about it
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going abroad for a while and coming home again
What I Can Share with Hosts
We certainly can cook something - either Swiss or from your home country, we can show you around in town and give tipps for things to see, borrow a bicycle, a book or a shower towel, have nice chats and drink beer, in a bar or on our terrace. Offer sewing service or a portrait photograph for your next application - you name it :-)
