ABOUT ME

I have been hosting with my ex-partner for a few years and we are now living in different cities so I am back to hosting, but this time on my own. I have two girls from that relationship who are now hitting their 30's with style and grace. I also have 2 grand daughterswith another on its way! I got to stay home and raise the girls while my wife worked and it was the best experience of my life. I take pride on being a good host and a good friend to anyone who comes by!

PHILOSOPHY

Yikes, better told over a glass of wine than here, me thinks! There is a line I like from the Woodstock Concert by an announcer who told the crowd "remember, when you go back up into the woods to sleep tonight, that the man next to you is your brother, and you damn well better treat him that way!"

Another good one might be "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled all over the world and slept on too many couches to count. When I have been invited in to peoples homes, those experiences have been some of the best of my travels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

where do I start... I stood outside one night a long time ago looking at the moon with my great grandmother, the Apollo astronauts had just landed. My great grandmother had come to Canada from Iceland as a child and had made the journey across the prairies in the back of an Ox cart with her parents. That evening, looking at the moon and watching it on television with her... definitely amazing!

I can teach sailing, skiing, writing, I can help with language if you struggle with English.

I want to learn about You! Your Country, Your thoughts, your lifestyle.... and it would be damn handy if you could teach me to fly a Spitfire airplane and to drive a formula 1 car.... anyone know how to build a time machine?
