About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where where many men have gone before...but on a cheaper budget
ABOUT ME
Well hello there,
My name is Graham Richardson and I study Biology and French at St Andrews Uni, Scotland, although I am originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I'm quite bad at these but I will make an attempt. I love drama and music a heck of a lot, but, given enough persuasion, I am keen to try almost anything. Also a keen cook which is normally how I try to thank people for hosting me. However, I am vegetarian which I understand means that some people will choose to disown me as a friend. It's a burden I bare. Been quite a few places but still have a lot more to go to and I like travelling with people whether I know them or meet them when travelling. Nonetheless, I like alone time and have a lot of reading to catch up on.
I started to blab so I'll stop...
PHILOSOPHY
Constantly under construction
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my final year of Uni so it might be too hard to host, but I'm normally happy to show people around/give advice on where to stay or what to do.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One time surfer in Tampere, Finland, second time in Strasbourg France and both went well. Really appreciated the mix of freedom to do everything I wanted to do but also a willingness on the part of the hosts to even just get a drink or two.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Many and varied, but I am that person who will watch all 3 Lord of the Rings extended versions before I move onto the extras.
Music - Anything with a good tune. Learning a lot about jazz at the moment and am always keen to find good "local" music.
Books - Don't read enough for pleasure. Trying to read more in French and "Stupeur et Tremblements" is a good choice.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Teaching English in India - it's scary when you suddenly realize what you are doing...
Holi festival in Mumbai - as long as you find a safe place to do it, I think that this is one of the best festivals in the world - the most colourful experience of my life!
Acting at the Edinburgh Fringe - go to the fringe as a performer you get so involved and see a lot more
Played twice at the Royal Albert Hall - I was very fortunate on both accounts that I even got there with groups but the experiences were both amazing
Wading out into the Baie du Mont-Saint Michel - you can wade out more than 200m into the bay with only the water up to your waste - and it's so warm!
Dancing in the water of a remote Finnish lake after sauna with the fog coming down and a steel drum playing down the sun. Lovely.
Kenya safari. 'Nuff said.
