Overview
About Me
I am Duc, a graduate from Cass Business School with a huge interest in the business and technology world. I love creating things and making indie games. I am a martial art practitioner and currently training towards my next grading in Oct.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am about to travel around the world and I thought it would be great to experience the life of local people. This thought fascinated me to do more reading about how the locals interact with each other in their community, what they eat and how they eat (the eating part has always been my huge passion, I am hungry all the time:D) and what drives them in their life.
On top of that, I love exchanging stories and interests with new people. From my experience of absolute solitude in the camping trip in Cornwall, I now feel blessed every time I meet someone, whether it is my friend, family member or a stranger.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music and love to explore new ones. My all-time favourite genre is Jazz, to name a few, Louis Amstrong, Frank Sinatra,...
Movies are my big passions too. I watch at least one movie a week. I love old classical ones, ones with Audrey Hepburn and ones directed by Alfred Hitchcock. My recent favourite ones are Hugo, Your name, ... I am a big fan of the TV series called Friends and honestly, I never get bored of watching them. The characters find the way to make me laugh so hard every SINGLE time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went camping on my own in the beautiful Cornwall in this April. I jogged in the Southwest Coastal Path from Sennen Cove to Porthcurno beach. It was a kind of experience that I never forget. Absolute Solitude. I rarely saw anyone in the path. Though, I guess this is what made the experience amazing because every time I met someone and we just said hi to each other, happiness ran all over me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I had three years studying accounting and finance in my undergraduate degree at Cass Business School. While maintaining my learning and interest in this field, I am also exploring different possibilities in game development and filmmaking. Augmented reality has grabbed my attention for a long while and this explains why I am currently learning about Unity game engine and coding.
Filmmaking just crossed my mind recently. I thought to myself, I am about to have an amazing trip around the world, why not film it and share to my friends and everyone. Since then, I started watching tutorials on YouTube and listening to different kind of music tracks for videos. I have enjoyed the work so far and hopefully, the outcome is something worth watching.
I am also passionate about martial art, especially karate. My first touch with karate was 10 years ago and I just came back to training in Feb after a very long break. The training has brought loads of benefits to my life. The improved physical and mental health allow me to be happier and productive.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a friendly approachable person so I can be friend with anyone, literally (my friends always say I have such a huge love for humanity). I can share my thoughts in any kind of topics such as politics, philosophy, arts, music, tech, game and sport. I am a good listener too so if you need someone to talk, I will be there for you.
