Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been doing craigslist rideshares and the like for 10 years. Excited to be a part of the CS scene. CS'd in Spain and had a great time with wonderful people.

Interests

I am really interested in lichens and mycology, DJ-ing and dancing, reading and cooking, photography and the ukulele, mopeds and farming.

Sometimes I stretch, meditate, run, skate, sing, build things, draw things and write things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just watched 30 common short-nose dolphins riding off the bow of a ship at sunrise, cresting up and spraying water into the light, neon pink against the deep blue pacific 400 miles off California. Their blow holes flapping open at the top of their crest, like automated machinery, so exacting and perfect.

Driving through LA with a craigslist rider who was a professional paraglider, we witnessed Jesus in the sky (no diamonds). They were easily 500ft letters being spelled out in the high atmosphere by a stunt plane, and it was all so wispy and barely visible. The "J" has almost completely dissipated by the time the last "S" was done. There was something almost immaculate about it, like the pilot did it on accident. I'm not particularly religious, but found this pretty funny and appropriate for a city like LA.
