Overview
About Me
I am a Data Analyst living in Seoul since 2021. I love exploring the city and its hidden gems. If you're in Seoul, I can show you around!
I may host up to 2 people starting from July 20th and the house is located in Haebangchon, near Itaewon and Namsan Tower.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that experiencing the city the local way is the best way to travel. I don't enjoy going around tourist traps. I would rather eat in a local cafe, have some drinks in a bar, then stroll around the streets while talking about all the things in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually listen to techno or some indie/indie rock music (Foals, Cage The Elephant, Kasabian, Alt-J, etc). Hip-hop is good too!
I don't really have a favorite movie, but I love watching a good film. I used to like Tarantino and Fincher films. But then I realized that my preference turned into a gatekeeping, and a good film is a good film after all.
For books, I usually go for non-fiction, preferably something about history :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen: a sunrise in Cappadocia
Done: I had a simultaneous conversation in Spanish, Korean, and Turkish at the same time. I somehow did it, but my brain...oh well
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some Kazakh!
I can share my insights on what's going on with Central Asia, how it tries to find its own identity, all the difficult relationships with Russia, etc.
Also I know a lot of random stuff, I keep myself busy with Wikipedia rabbitholes, there's plenty of interesting things out there haha
If you end up in Seoul, I will show around the not-so-typical places in the city.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some Korean, Kazakh, or other languages that I speak. Ever wanted to see how your name would be written in different alphabetic systems? Well, I can show you that.
I would be happy to share more information about Kazakhstan and its culture, as the real Kazakhstan is vastly different from the portrayal in the movie Borat, where the main character falsely claimed to be from there.
Countries I’ve Visited
