ABOUT ME

We are friendly and relaxed people, always up for something new and interesting. We have just finished our degrees at the University of Surrey studying Biochemistry and Biomedical sciences. We are not fussy people and are often relatively simple; pleased with small things.

We are currently backpacking down through central and south america for almost a year. Hopefully we can use couchsurfing along the way!

Often after travelling it's the people we meet that are remembered as much as the places we've been. And they will always know the best local tips for the area.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Always planning a trip somewhere and couchsurfing is a great way of doing it! We have hosted some lovely people in Guildford and met some lovely people surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been hosting for several months whilst at university, all being great positive experiences. Surfing has also been a fantastic way to travel and we hope to do more.

Interests

Discover new interests and make adventures, enjoy the experiences. Duncan is an active person and enjoy football, squash, skiing, exploring. Also love watching sports... along with a pint. A big food fan as well! Zara is also active and musical.

We both love the outdoors, always keen to explore in the sun. Particularly beaches!

Music that makes me happy, a whole range of genres, often chilled out and reminding me of a time or place - Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Foals, Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Bob Marley..
All sorts of films - The Intouchables, Snatch, The Prestige, Anchorman, Argo. (+ the Notebook for Zara)
TV - Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Luther, Orange is the New Black.
Books - Usually crime drama genre books but sadly more often scientific journals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We can't pick one... Together we have: Scuba dived. Skydived. Esala Perahera festival. Snorkeled with giant sea turtles. Houseboat in Kerala. Southern Indian food. Santiago de cuba carnaval. Snorkel with whalesharks. Dived cenotes. Teaching english in Guatemala. Climbed and camped on an active volcano. San blas islands. White water rafting. Get lost in Colca Canyon. Hiking the Cordillera Blancas. Machu Picchu. Amazon jungle. Salt Flats. Iguazu falls.
