About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To cross the Andes by frog, to assail the peak of Everest with one leg behind my back, and to conquer the tundra of the arctic with a jam sandwich and actimel for nutrition.

ABOUT ME

I'm a student of Russian, living in Moscow, far away form the small nest of Scotland where I grew up. I love travel (don't we all?)...I'm a colletor of folk songs and instruments in my spare time (at the last count my litte room was stuffed full with 56 weird and wonderful instruments from around the world!), and I'd love to hear something from your place of being. I enjoy drawing, reading and walking (not all at the same time), half frozen milk, and lumps of chewy parmizan. I hate people who drop litter, meringues (something of a phobia), and most zoos.

PHILOSOPHY

Upside is the inside, time is more like stretchy mozerella than a hard chedder, and if you try and imagine an extra dimension you might just end up inside you own belly. God is the taste of another's lips, the feeling of heavy rain on a freshly shaven skalp, and the sight of a balloon specking into eternity in a clear blue sky.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am still quite new to this - looking forward to surfing in Russia, and to hosting when I get home to Scotland!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without doubt the best so far was staying in Tallinn with a gay activist, a coreographer, and a puppeteer - a colourful crowd who showed us the sights and sounds, from the puzzling spectacle of Estonian minimalist dance, to drinking hot chocolate with a viking in a thunderstorm, to leather cleaner in secret super raves held in an old soviet paper factory. Wonderful people.

Interests

Music, reading and writing, art, travel, food, useless information of any kind, history, growing my hair, dinosaurs, exotic fauna, David Attenborough programs, wood carving, DIY, philosophy, religion, cheese.

Music, Movies, and Books

Your music - every person makes their own music, even if it's rubbish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been born.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you surf with me in Glasgow, you are welcome to try your hand at any and all of my instruments. I'd love to learn little pieces of your language, and to hear all your stories.
