CURRENT MISSION

Recently laid off and looking to take advantage of it. I love to travel and meet new people and cultures and I've always enjoyed putting fellow travellers up. ...and I hope to do a six month motorcycle trip around the americas in a year or so... :)

ABOUT ME

About me? Arggghh. Hate this part but here goes.
40 year old, born in France, moved to England, back to France, then the US (east coast in '82).
Moved to Seattle in '94 and am most likely here to stay.
I speak some french but with the vocabulary of a 12 year old from 1982, so be warned.
Father's Canadien, Mother was British and my family's spread around the world (we try to meet somewhere fun at least once a year).
I'm very active and take advantage of the amazing geography in these parts (mountains, ocean, lakes, desert, rain forest, city, etc...). I have lots of toys (ski boat, motorcycle, car, surfboards, snowboards, wakeboards, waterskis, climbing/hiking gear,...) and use them all (can also get/borrow more if needed). I will be thinning out my inventory this spring as I plan to ride my motorcycle around the americas next fall/winter.
Love to cook and entertain. I roast a whole pig once a year and we've started a new tradition of roasting a lamb once a year as well. Moose next year?
I also enjoy the arts and city life but on a smaller dose.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two good friends of mine put up their place for a year and are now traveling across Europe on their way back to NZ via CS. I was sold immediately when they showed me the site and met some of the travelers that they hosted. I would have joined much sooner but one of my roommates wasn't down. He's now moved out so...
