About Me

I'm an easy going person willing to meet new people from near and from far away. As I cannot travel much, would you want to travel to me? I love to know about cultures I have never heard of and ways of living I cannot even imagine. I also like to chat about life with a glass of good wine in my hand.

MI LENGUA MATERNA ES EL ESPAÑOL. LA PATERNA TAMBIEN 🤣

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Yes, I'm also here to connect with people. I hope you are here for the same reason. I like to travel, but when I cannot do it, I have decided to let people come into my place and share nice experiences. I want to break my routine. I don't mean I don't like my routine, it's just that from time to time it is good to get out of it. And Couchsurfing looks like a good place to do it.

"The value of things is not the time they last, but the intensity with which they occur. That is why there are unforgettable moments and unique people!" (Fernando Pessoa, 1888-1935). Let's make those hours we share unforgettable :)

If your plan is to explore the night-life of Valencia, I'm not your host.

The best definition of traveling I've ever heard comes from Cesare Pavese. It directly came into my heart the first time I read it. And also every time I do it again: “Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky - all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it”. Isn't it magic? :)

My willing is that you feel comfortable in my place, not as if you were in yours, but as if you felt my place was also yours.

Music, Movies, and Books

Independent music and cinema. What does that mean? I don't really know, but we can talk about it ;) I can give you a clue: I have not watched Titanic (and I will not).

I also like classical cinema (is that correct in english?). My favourite directors are, among others, Billy Wilder, Alfred Hitchcock, Luís García Berlanga, Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Luis Buñuel, Sidney Lumet, Orson Welles, Lars von Trier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited some ethnic minority groups lost up in the mountains when I lived in China.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some mandarin Chinese, and some traditional Spanish cooking. And also Spanish, of course!

I cannot consider myself a magician (at all), but I can play a couple of card games we will enjoy ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you send me a request, please consider that it's easier that we connect if you:

🚿 Are highly concerned about our planet and have ecological habits (you minimize the use of plastics, take quick showers, turn off the light when not in a room...).

💂 Come to Valencia to meet locals, more than buildings.

🥂 Find something in common between us. I know it's not easy with just this profile description, but you can get an idea of what I think. If in doubt, just ask! :)

🙌 Understand Couchsurfing (and life) is about sharing experiences, untouchable vibrations and emotions.

🉐 Meditate and would like to share a meditation with me.
🖖 Are in Couchsurfing because you want to enjoy part of your time with somebody local, your host, not because you want a free Airbnb.
🏠 Have read the "My Home" section. There is also important information.

I like to be with my guests. If you come to my apartment, I will like to share time with you chatting, cooking, walking, meditating... what do you want to do? Do you have any proposal?

I can cook traditional Spanish food that not many foreigners know. It would be very nice if you cook something from your country. Cuisine is a good way of culture interchange!

We can also walk around l'Eliana or Valencia. I would recommend that you make your request personal. You can speak of what you think would connect us. Include the secret word "pumuki" in your message. It also helps if you tell me what your plans are during the days you are staying at my place. In few words: you don't have to be original, but the message you write has to be personal and straight from the heart.
