About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living and working in Dubai (UAE). Looking to mind like-minded, or dislike-minded (see what I did here) people to exchange ideas, opinions and to possibly explore together this multicultural, uber-developed country

ABOUT ME

My name is Alen :) I was born by accident because my father was drunk (you know), but now they are happy to have me around (I hope).

I was born and I grew up in Sarajevo. Also, I was born as a very young person (strange, ha?). For 6 months I lived in Brno (Czech Republic) where I was an exchange student.

I study Criminal Investigation (opposite from serial killer which is good for you... I suppose) but I am interested in many more areas. Also, I hitchhike and I like it because in that way you can meet really awesome people (also you can be killed, but if that happens I will update that here).

I am good at sport and I love everything related to it. I am an open-mided person who is curios to learn about other cultures, religions, life philosophies, experiences.

I have one head, but if you have two don`t be discouraged because I would still like to meet you (see how open-minded I am).

PHILOSOPHY

"The meaning of life is to live it."

"The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience."

" It doesn't matter how high your education is, how wide your knowledge is or how smart you are. If you think you know everything, then you are very wrong. Even babies know something that we, as adults, don't know. To able to recognize it, we must forget who we are - then look, listen and learn."

"Don't eat the yellow snow." xD

"The problem with drinking and driving is that trees defend themselves very well."

Music... I am listening mostly Ex Yugoslav pop - rock ballads and other types of Ex Yu rock music. (in that time that was 2nd best music in world after English rock).

My favorite book is "O alquimista" and the writer is Paulo Coelho :) This book has adventureus character and has a lot of good and wise points (Of course, you cannot be ambassador if you decide to write something stupid). Also, I like Jules Verne books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jump from tram when it was in speed xD and people look at me just like this 0_o

I took the bath under the waterfall near Sarajevo ( 98 meters )...

Running and pee in same time (up to hill)! ;D

Swimming in outdoor pool during winter and later jumped into snow (not cool thing).

Dive from the old bridge in Mostar into water (24 meters)

Playing a flute to cobra (Morocco)

Riding a motorbike in Vietnam, including the most busiest hours in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi (Vietnam)

Feeding monkeys and elephants in Phuket, scuba diving in Koh Tao, doing something similar to pub crawls in Khaosan road, eating durian in China town in Bangkok (Thailand)

Hitchhiking through Yellowstone, riding a jet ski in Miami (USA)

Surfing in Costa da Caparica in Portugal

Chillin' in hot baths during winter around Armenia and Georgia

Washing my face in the glacier (It was so cold that I had only one expression for next one hour, and that was one of being terrified)

And i can`t remember now what else, maybe these I will do something or see.
