Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I need to show the world how appreciate the Filipino and his soul.
ABOUT ME
I'm a nerd. A travel and history nerd to be exact. I have a deep, abiding love for my country and my people--and a passion to share that love to anyone who's willing to listen.
Thankfully, after spending almost half a decade with the Philippine Dept. of Tourism, I managed to put up my own tour company and finally found an avenue to channel my passion in sharing the wonders to the Philippines.
PHILOSOPHY
Experience everything you can. There's no point in merely existing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't currently have room or couch to host anyone at the moment but I often give out discounted or even free tours to CSers.
Just send me a message to check if there's an available tour schedule you'd like to join. Or check out Manila For A Day's website and FB page.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Looking back, I actually have to credit CS for turning me into a tour guide. Having no couch to offer, I relied on my nerdy love for Philippine history and culture to participate in CS.
I now realized that even before I was a trained by the DOT, I was already giving tours to CSers the world over. (Big shout out to Megan for being the first CSer I ever toured!)
Damn, just realized I owe my career to to CS!
Interests
Generally anything, ahem, "nerdy".
From board games to museums to city tours, if there's something to learn or an experience to share, I'm there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
White Water Rafting. Seriously, nothing comes close to the thrill of rafting.
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH:
The Philippines. The Filipino. Understanding our collective soul. I love my country and I'll be more than happy to teach you about anything and everything you're curious about.
LEARN:
I am a frustrated linguist. Learning new languages is on the top of my list. In particular, though not necessarily in this order:
1. French
2. Spanish
3. Esperanto
