About Me

i never know what to say with these!

for work i am a bartender and administrator at an art gallery, i teach art to kids, and i am a personal care assistant. i try to make my work life meaningful, and i'm pretty happy with it right now. i've done a ton of other things for work including au pair-ing, chauffeuring, selling vintage clothing, building custom shelving... i try to at least keep it interesting. in my free time i like snuggling with my cat, going on walks/hikes/bike rides, making zines, working on art projects...

i'm a bit reserved/introverted, but i love having deep, real conversations with people and can get there pretty quick with the right people. i like asking questions and figuring out what makes people tick. i spend a lot of time just thinking.

i got the travel bug pretty early thanks to visits with my german family. my dream is to figure out how to travel indefinitely while still having an income. when traveling i try to get off the beaten path, eat interesting food, and walk a TON.

doing community work is important to me. i try to do good in the world with my jobs and my hobbies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to host a lot and i really enjoyed it! Right now I don't have the capacity to host, but i'm into meeting up and showing people around Richmond. I LOVE couchsurfing! I've had some great experiences.

I'm planning a solo trip in 2016 and hoping to find some people to hang out with!
