About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive Europe from 1/4/2011 to 18/6/2011. I'll be taking off with enough money to last a couple weeks and then will figure the rest out when I arrive. Wish me luck!

ABOUT ME

I am a proud Texan and American with a love and appreciation of the world's flavors and cultures. There is so much out there that I just cannot fathom staying in the States my whole life.

I have been to a few places on my own and a few more during my time in the US Marines, but I have never really lived outside the borders of my home country. Certainly that will not do!

I am currently in school at Stanford and I hope to become a doctor for the Navy so that I might travel the world providing care to those in need of it, whether soldier, sailor or civilian. I would also love to just settle down for a while and live in Europe someplace - perhaps France, Spain, England or Germany.

I am new to CS, but I am very excited about the opportunity to join such a diverse and altruistic community. I hope that I can become a contributing member and see some of you soon!

¡Vamos a ver!

A bientôt !

PHILOSOPHY

Just be a good person, right? Treat people kindly. Be nice. Surround yourself with goodness and happiness and you will be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS, so I am just trying to get the feel right now, but starting in the summer I hope to have an apartment and a couch of my own to help out other surfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet, but I will be headed to Europe soon on a wing and a prayer, so we'll see!

Interests

Since I'm in school at the moment, my interests are mostly academic or intellectual, including languages, engineering and natural sciences, arts and political sciences. I guess aside from that I would say that I enjoy checking CNN and BBC compulsively for world news - gotta stay current!

Activities wise, I am a sports nut and love almost any sport you can find. Watch, play, whatever. I also enjoy theatre when I can. I like to go to plays now and then but I much more enjoy acting in them.

Other than that, my interest is in keeping things fresh and making sure that I don't ever look back on the interesting part of my life, but instead keep the whole thing extraordinary. We'll see!
