COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Jim Stone stayed at our house on his way to Birmingham and Atlanta. Jim was great. A wonderful first experience. We have hosted eight people at our house. We have surfed in Bangkok and Sri Lanka. We have attended parties in Hanoi and Bangkok. Our couchsufing experiences have been some of our best traveling experiences.

Mary Pipher's letters to a young therapist is a great book. I cannot recommend it too highly, and all her other books are pretty good too. I am enjoying both reading and watching Game of Thrones: The Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing by Mel Lindauer, Ten Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Went Out into the Real World - Maria Shriver.

I took a trip around the world for a year in 1973, and it changed my outlook on my life. Patti and I traveled in Southeast Asia for six months in 2012 visiting Vietnam, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. CouchSurfing hosting, surfing, and parties in Hanoi, Bangkok, and Sri Lanka.
