ABOUT ME

I'm a dutch chick, living in London, but with a mission to explore the world. Next trip: New Zealand. I'm extrovert, easy-going, caring (according to my friends) and low-maintenance. I'm adventurous, social, into excercise as much as chilling out of a bottle of wine. I don't smoke by the way. Looking for that extra edge when I go to a new place and try to go off the beaten track. What better way to enjoy a country with help of local people?!
What I do with my life? Well, to make some money I work as scientist, I study plants for a living. Besides that I train in karate, love to run, and experience new things. Oh, and I love to talk about anything, from feisty discussions on religion, the environment to absurd sillyness that makes my belly hurt from all the laughing. I laugh a lot. I love to cook and eat food.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I'm looking for places to stay when I'm in NZ. I love to go off the beaten track and see NZ through the eyes of people who genuinly love their country. Hopefully I'll have positive experiences and can return the favour when I'm back in London.
I like to cook so when I stay over at someones house I'm more then willing to cook a nice meal!!

So many to list. I've gopt a broad range of taste. Movie sthat make me cry with laughter, or cry with sadness. Music that moves me from the inside, that makes me want to jump up and dance. Books that can take me to another world. A few books have actually made me cry every time I read them.
I love it all.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Traveled through Tanzania for 3 months to collect plants where I camped in remote places with no electricity and running water. The best sun rises ever!

I like to learn languages. I'll teach people Dutch. In daily life I teach karate in our kids class. At work I take part in teaching in plant identifying courses. I love to share my humour, my laughter and my good times with others.
