ABOUT ME

I'dd like to describe myself as a social chameleon. When you are not shallow and are not affraid to say what you think, we will have a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

Life isn't short, so don't rush it and take your time to explore the world you are in. Not only by travelling and experiencing the touristy stuff that you saw in the ads, but also by reflecting on the things you saw and heard from the people you met. Don't let anybody tell you how to feel or act, always consult yourself, stay true to yourself, and in the end you will earn the respect you deserve.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the moment I'm only surfing myself and I've joined some CS meetings. But when I come back to my home country I will fix a nice couch for any surfer that is in need. And I can't wait to check the CS scene in the Netherlands.

Generally: science, (world) politics, technology, (electronic) music. But really everything which means I got all kinds of crappy trivia sticking in my head.

Independant movies, to name a few: Blow, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption, Requiem for a Dream!, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Hurly Burly, Memento, Reservoir Dogs, Natural Born Killers...

Underground music, such as: Electronica (techno, minimal, some electro) basically everything from Berlin homebase of modern techno music. Oldschool Hip Hop: Wu-Tang Clan, House of Pain, Cypress Hill, Funkdoobiest, Black Moon, Tribe Called Quest, Mobb Deep, Lords of the Underground. Also; The Prodigy! Queens of the Stone Age, Air, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, DJ Shadow!, Gorillaz, The Knife, Kubus & BangBang, Opgezwolle (awesome dutch hip hop), Aphex Twin...

Non-fictional books, no need to name titles, as long as they are pleasant to read and discuss topics I'm interested in than it's good. But I rarely read for long periods of time.

I'm not a real thrill seeker but I can get excited from the smallest things or situations. I've been in a lot of shady really underground clubs throughout Europe, that's something I would not want to have missed.

I don't consider myself an expert on any field. In stead I know something about a lot, not everything about something. I consider myself pretty allround so there aren't many people I would not be getting into a discussion with. I love discussion about religion and politics.
