ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm David, a 39 year old Welshman currently living in Penarth, a Victorian Seaside town just outside Cardiff. It's been quite a while since I joined CS, previously I haven't really have the means or time to invest in it, but now I'm more settled in one place I feel more able to actively take part.

18 months ago I moved back here from London to take advantage of the quieter pace of life, fresher air and wonderful sea and mountains. I set about renovating a house and set about making it my own. Back to my roots as they say.

That said, I do work away a lot. So can't host all the time. My profession takes me all over the place which is great because it entertains my love of travel and experiencing different people and cultures.

Other things I enjoy, live music, good healthy food, nice wine, good coffee, roadtrips, garden, getting wet and muddy on a bike, reading etc. My hobby is flying (when I have the time and funds for it). A few years back I acquired my private pilots licence, something I wanted to do since I was a kid. I've always been into planes and now to be able to fly one is a dream come true. Ultimate freedom...if a little dirty and carbon emission heavy :/ Who knows, if I manage to get into hosting you could be my next passenger....if you're brave enough. Wales has beautiful views from the air!

Anyhow I'm look forward to meeting and hopefully hosting fellow Couchsurfers on my travels or hosting at home.
